The Greenhorn Mingle
The monthly Mingle serves as an avenue for mentees to let loose amongst themselves, create friendships across classes and share their mentorship experiences with each other. It serves as an ice breaker especially for the junior members who are new to the program and thus a platform for them to feel appreciated in the program.
Aspire Conference for Leaders
The Aspire Leadership Conference is an annual event organized and hosted by Greenhorn at the University of Nairobi, Lower Kabete Campus. We invite influential and successful industry experts to engage the student audience in discussions meant to motivate and push them out of their comfort zones, and on to pursue excellence in their lives.
Greenhorn Career Fair
Personal Development Career Fair are held on a monthly basis and students within the University of Nairobi, School of Business. Here, a mentor with the program is invited to lead a discussion with attending students. These talks center on building both hard and soft skills of the students.
Corporate Social Responsibility
In Greenhorn, we believe in the power of service to others. Being a mentorship program, we understand best that There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. Our Corporate Social Responsibility spans a wide range of activities:
- mentoring primary and high school students.
- visits and donations to children’s homes.
- charity work at animal centers.
- partnerships with corporates in their CSR activities.
Greenhorn Corporate Expo
We partner with potential employers in a field event meant to market them to the students through sharing on relevant employment opportunities, product offerings and company culture. The students are given an opportunity to interact with target employers on a one-on-one basis.
